With all of the touring and shows going on in the second half of the year by Linkin Park, we haven't posted as many shows for download as we had hoped! We might as well change that right now and what a better way to do it than by circulating another recording from Carnivores Tour!
Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY is always a stop for Linkin Park on their summer tours in North America and it is actually one of their most frequented venues in the world. The show on Carnivores was the 8th stop of the tour and came two days before the 10th LPU Summit across the state in Darien Center, NY. After a rainy day in 2012 on the Honda Civic Tour, a beautiful day greeted Linkin Park this year along with another packed crowd at the venue (no surprise there). Fans that saw multiple shows on the tour say that this was one of the best shows on the first half of Carnivores.
Luckily, LPLive staff member AndOne was in attendance and documented it with a good quality recording which you can now download below! Highlights include the best version of Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You at this point on the tour (after it had been played a few times and fine tuned), a very extended intro to Bleed It Out with Mike giving a speech on it, and a different drum solo followed by a longer Catalyst bridge on Bleed It Out. Overall, it's a great performance of Set B on the tour and Chester even does the ice bucket challenge at the end of the show.
